 Boys Indoor League 2011
Coaching the game Beginning in May 2011, the TSS curriculum switches to a small-sided indoor league for the last 6 weeks of the program. Throughout the season, TSS rolls out a curriculum that encompasses a holistic view of the game. A range of topics are covered in our program such as 1v1 attacking, striking and finishing, combination play, defending, and many more. All of these components are vital to understanding the game and to acquiring the technical skills necessary for executing that understanding. These components, however, have to be understood within the game itself. Ultimately, it's the game that offers the opportunity to put these pieces together. League Structure TSS has therefore introduced a small-sided league into the final phase of the academy program. Players will be divided into permanent teams for the last 6 weeks and play 6v6 over half the bubble. TSS coaches will be assigned to teams to help guide them through the games. League standings will be posted on the TSS website as well as the "Most Valuable" and "Most Improved Player" for every game. The Small-Sided League component of our curriculum is a popular part of our program. It's an opportunity to learn within the context of the game and an opportunity to compete in a learning environment. We look forward to seeing you there.
